Derivatives Project Manager

DESCRIPTION:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a leading investment management firm whom are seeking an experienced derivatives project manager to join their team in Edinburgh.

The successful candidate will join the internal change team on a 6 month contract basis.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with various 3rd parties to implement and deliver a complex operating model
- Ensure derivative project objectives are met within pre-set business requirements
- Identify necessary resources and assign individual responsibilities to team members in order to meet project objectives
- Identify any areas of risk and escalate/resolve where necessary

- Line management/supervisory skills
- Ability to prioritise and work in a demanding environment
- Passionate about the development of self and others
- Strong communication skills throughout all levels of the business
- Ability to identify and manage risk in an advantageous manner
- Comfortable working in a continuously changing, demanding environment

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum of 5 years' experience of complex Asset Management/FO related projects
- Experience of monitoring and delivering to regulatory deadlines
- Preference for a good level of Derivatives knowledge would be desirable but not essential
- Stakeholder management experience in a demanding environment
- Experience of working with multiple 3rd parties
