Derivatives Operations Manager

Projektbeschreibung

The role has responsibility for working with the Head of Derivatives Operations to build out listed derivative clearing and settlement capabilities as outlined below:

- Configuration, testing and implementation of new derivative clearing system and workflow tool.
- Validation and preparation of the business specifications for system requirements and business integration with upstream and downstream systems
- Writing and maintaining control documentation and procedures for new derivative clearing business function within the wider operations group.
- Implementation and documentation of' best practice' operational model.
- Integration of carry broker network to internal clearing operations.

Upon Completion of the Integration Project

- Managing day to day derivative clearing operations including supervision of:
- Trade capture, processing and allocations to end client accounts.
- Reconciliations and trade break monitoring, follow up and MIS reporting
- Option expiry monitoring and settlement processing
- Margin calculation overview and margin monitoring
- Maintenance of all required static data.
- Management of data extracts and reports for downstream systems

REQUIRED TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

- Appropriate skills and expertise as required for the role
- Experience of working within a derivative clearing operations unit including the implementation and management of operational processes and controls.
- Detailed knowledge of the listed option product set including exchange/CCP/Carry Broker requirements, processes and expiry management.
- Development of best practice operational procedural documentation.
- Experience of system implementation, business specifications preparation and full involvement in the testing and implementation phase.
- Technical and functional knowledge as required for the role; including having a working knowledge of Derivative Clearing Systems, preferably including UBIX.
- To maintain an understanding of the industry from a regulatory and operational perspective, including understanding of the EMIR trade reporting requirements, a working knowledge of the FCA as well as up to date knowledge of market practices and Exchange rules
- A working knowledge of changes in the market and to products, legislation and regulation
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to quickly understand requirements
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
