NHS DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF CONTRACTS - BAND 8D

I am working alongside a reputable & very well respected London based NHS CCG who are looking for an interim Deputy Director of Contracts to join their enthusiastic & experienced team.

The Deputy Director of Contracts role will consist of managing a portfolio of Acute, Community & Mental Health contracts valued at 80million+ plus line management responsibilities.

I am looking for immediately available candidates for this position. The rate for this role is between £480-£500 per day depending on experience.

REPORTING INTO THE MD, THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF CONTRACTS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

- Line management of the very experienced 8c candidate already in post
- Produce contract notices where needed & hold providers accountable for any issues
- Maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders within specified providers
- Deputise for the MD where needed
- Effectively manage the contracting portfolio on a day to day basis
- Performance manage the 8c report & matrix between the contracts & service re-design team to ensure all teams are working together for the same result
- Ensure a robust contract structure is being adhered to
- Chair meetings between CCG & Providers
- Assist with the service re-design of two complex planned & unplanned care procurements

THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF CONTRACTS REQUIREMENTS:

- In depth NHS Standard Contracts knowledge
- Experience of managing portfolios of 80mill+
- Ability to manage an enthusiastic & capable team
- Experience of issuing contract notices
- Relationship building skills
- Ability to fit in with a team that is already functioning & achieving
- Adaptable
- Persuasive nature
- Negotiation skills
- Ability to matrix between various teams
- Ability to lead on service re-design activities
