DEPUTY COMPANY SECRETARY

Our internationally renowned client is currently looking for a Deputy Company Secretary to join them on a 6 month contract. The Deputy Company Secretary will provide support to the direction of the Group Company Secretary to further develop good governance processes throughout the Client's corporate governance framework and help to drive best practice in governance processes.

The Deputy Company Secretary will support the Group Company Secretary to ensure committee meetings are useful, productive and efficient. The Deputy Company Secretary will also assist the Group Company Secretary to ensure that the business receives the highest level of advice and guidance in respect of corporate governance to support the achievement of the Client's strategic objectives including corporate transactions, business developments and special projects.

IN ADDITION THE DEPUTY COMPANY SECRETARY WILL ALSO HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

-Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries
-Relevant Company secretary experience within a financial services environment, especially insurance (ideally some with profits knowledge) and asset management.
-Experience in project management.
-Experience in thought leadership and in developing people.
-Knowledge of governance best practice, relevant issues, statutory requirements and regulations and new upcoming trends in the industry.
-Experience of leading change in governance practice to high standards.
-Experience in taking a lead in the engagement with Non-executive director and Board/Committee chairs.
-Experience in analysing and using data.

-Building relationship with key stakeholders throughout the business, including proactive management of good relationships with non-executive directors.

-Ability to identify emerging problems and deal with them.
-Able to understand and analyse complex issues.
-Able to understand strategic issues and how they relate at operational level.
-Embodies a customer focused mind set.
