Deployment Engineer (m9)

- 3 month contract + extensions, CBD
- Must have solid Deployment experience (SCCM or Altiris)
- $35-45/hr depending on experience

The Deployment Engineer will provide IT Deployment and Desktop expertise to my client who are a Financial Services company, they are moving from Windows XP to Windows 7. Great opportunity for an experienced Deployment Engineer to provide help with their Windows XP - 7 migration and help with the deployment of their Applications using Altiris. The right candidate will be hard working, able to work independently, willing to put in extra hours when necessary, outgoing with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multi-task, and eagerness to learn is essential.

THE ROLE:

- Responsible for Deploying Windows 7 from XP using Altiris 6.9 or later
- Provide onsite support to 500 users of in a busy desktop Microsoft environment.
- Remote support and face to face support.
- Experience supporting Windows 7, A.D & Microsoft environment

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in a Desktop Support role.
- have deployed XP - Windows 7 using SCCM as a minimum.
- Proactive and enthusiastic attitude with exceptional communication and customer support attitude.
- Windows 7/XP/2010 Operating Systems, Active Directory, Networking knowledge.
- Preferred experience with Service Desk technologies.
- Experience with Voice Over IP is very highly regarded.
