Deployment Engineer/Administrator

Deployment Engineer, London, £450-500 per professional day

As the deployment engineer you will be tasked with deploying applications in test environments. This is going to be a very technically hands on role and you will be supporting many releases going into the QA environment.

You will be working very closely with lead developers to understand the deployment architecture. You will also work on provisioning and validating controlled environments for CI, UAT, DIT etc. As well as automating deployments and supporting deployment for new platform.

The following skills are essential:

System administration experience, OS: Linux/ Unix/ Debian

Scripting: Bash/ Shell

Java/J2EE/Oracle application deployment, Patching

Administration of Web/App serves: Apache Tomcat/ Weblogic/ Websphere

Databases: Oracle/ Mysql/ SQLServer, PL/SQL basics

Automation experience

Version control: Git/ Mercurial/ Subversion SVN

Continuous Integration: Jenkins/ Team City/ AntHillPro/ Team Foundation Server
