Deployment Architect for global ERP program - Americas region, North America and South America deployments
Ideally based in New York/New Jersey area.

As an Enterprise Architect, specializing in Deployment Architecture, you are responsible for the effectiveness, integration and optimization of the geographic landscape within the overall enterprise architecture (EA) for an Enterprise Resource Planning solution.

You will work closely with both global and local business and technology stakeholders, to develop, prioritise and direct through implementation, an overall landscape for the impacted geographies that the global ERP program is deploying to. You will develop target state architectures in the context of the geographies, as well as transition roadmaps to guide and direct the deployment team through the challenges of the implementation.

You will work closely with the overall deployment lead, to ensure that architectural decisions are being taken into account as part of the planning of all of the deployment activities. You will take an active role in working with the overall program architecture team, to ensure that global architectural decisions are communicated and implemented within the geographic deployment.

You will also bring to the attention of the global team any previously unknown architectural impacts that the overall program might have or might encounter.

Key deliverables

*Be an active participant in a senior deployment team and with associated experienced global Enterprise Architects
*Develop, validate and maintain target state architectures for each geographic deployment target.
*Develop, validate and maintain transition roadmaps reflecting the critical path to go-live in each deployment, as well as longer term post-deployment changes.
*Work with the program deployment teams to identify priorities on the critical path and participate in workload estimation activities for each item.
*Drive a maximization of solution retirements and a minimization of remediation of local solutions through architectural deliverables, providing clear guidance to deployment teams.
*Liaise with other adjacent programs to identify and address potential impacts to both the ERP deployment and the adjacent programs.
*Pursue and build relationships across business and IT to gather intelligence and bring insight about the wider picture to the program team.
*Gather feedback that helps EA improve and evolve the quality and type of EA services provided.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
*Minimum of 8 years hands-on experience in IT Services and 5 Years in global Enterprise Architecture roles with a strong background in business processes and solution landscape management.
*Strong knowledge of market leading ERP solutions; SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, Sucessfactors & other Cloud based products
*Proven ability to constructively challenge requirements to increase overall value to the firm.
*Proven ability to work within a program structure and relate this back to an overall enterprise view.
*Proven ability to translate business needs into EA requirements, and estimate the financial and architectural impact of EA alternatives.
*Demonstrated ability to comprehend the changes to key business processes and the impact on the area of specialization.
*Good analytical skills, knowledge of business process design and team player.
*Strong relationship building skills and executive presence.
*Excellent decision making skills, leverages management for support in the absence of complete facts.
*Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change.
*Good management skills, using judgment and tact.
*Strategic skills to propose long-term visions and the ability to translate them into actionable roadmaps that are broadly accepted.
*Ability to understand and integrate cultural differences and motives and to be an active participant in virtual cross-cultural, cross-border teams.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Ability to work and team with a multitude of different people - including business customers, IT project managers and IT engineers - to balance demands.
*Self starter attitude, working independently under limited guidance.
*Good negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to moderate differing expectations.
*Provide insight on all Enterprise Architecture domains (business, information, application and technology) and how they work together.
*Knowledge of industry standard Enterprise Architecture Frameworks, (eg Zachman, TOGAF, DODAF), desired.

This position requires approximately 50% travel.
