Demurrage/Voyage Analyst

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A DEMURRAGE/VOYAGE ANALYST AND NEGOTIATOR FOR AN INITIAL 12 MONTH CONTRACT FOR A LARGE MULTI-NATIONAL OIL AND GAS CLIENT.

The candidate will be required to Interpret and advise on Demurrage and deviation terms in oil GT&C's and must have ability to proactively work with the Contracts department on amendments to contracts and GT&Cs which may lead to reduced demurrage exposure for the client. Responsibilities include preparing and negotiating with external customers all demurrage, deviation and detention claims for all elements of the vessel charterparty or oil contract deal with the aim to minimize profit leakage, advising Oil and Freight Traders and Global Trading Network focal points on the potential recovery of demurrage and other voyage related expenses, Updating Trading systems in a timely manner and ensure Trade book is always fully informed of changes to P&L, Ensuring all payments are authorized under the Manuel of Authorities tool.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years Shipping and Trading Industry experience and a good understanding of demurrage and Trading Operations. Training in the demurrage process will be given to the successful candidate.
