Demurrage Negotiator

Global oil trading company require ongoing contract assistance in their Demurrage team. There is an opportunity for this role to go permanent for the right candidate.

Your duties will include:
* Calculation, preparation, verification of freight and contract shipping expense and demurrage invoices in accordance with oil trading and charter party terms
* Negotiation of disputes with group companies or third parties using telex, fax, telephone or face-to-face communication
* Providing commercial assistance to oil and ship operators, oil traders and ship charterers
* Developing and maintaining relationships with third parties including trading companies, ship owners and brokers.

Excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with contacts both within and externally. Ideally you will have prior barge demurrage experience but this is not essential.
