Demand Planner Job

Yoh has a potential contract to hire opportunity for a DEMAND PLANNER join our client in Pittsburgh, PA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Facilitate and drive consensus process with cross functional groups to determine an accurate forecast of expected shipments by brand
- Develop and maintain item, customer, and distribution center (DC) forecast for further planning by Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and finance to understand marketing programs, new product introductions, pricing changes, promotions, and events to meet customer demand
- Lead monthly consensus process based on information gained to develop a forecast to meet Supply Chain service and inventory goals
- Track weekly and monthly forecast error to identify contributing factors and adjust the necessary item and/or DC levels
- Perform analysis and provide insights to lead volume discussions;
- Become brand volume expert through understanding consumption and shipment trends in addition to category and industry dynamics
- Partner with supply planning to understand supply chain implications of forecast changes
- Perform Manugistics maintenance to eliminate exception errors

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field
- Two (2) year forecast by demand forecasting unit (DFU) in forecasting system used for manufacturing and deployment planning
- Item forecast by channel for financial planning
- Timely updates to Manager regarding sales forecast details
- Continuous improvement to forecasting process to minimize forecast error
- Share best practices among planners
- Efficiency in Excel and general knowledge of other MS Office applications required

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- Forecasting or manufacturing systems experience is preferred
- APICs and/or IBF affiliation and/or certification is a plus
