JOB TITLE: DEMAND MANAGER

JOB LOCATION: ANTWERP, BELGIUM

DURATION: 12 MONTHS

JOB SPECIFICATION:

- Facilitates the transition of project demands/change request to IT projects and scheduled change requests in close collaboration with the Enterprise Architect and IT Portfolio Manager.
- Reviews project business cases to ensure IT is focusing on those initiatives that realize the most value for the business.
- Responsible for elaborating functional and non-functional requirements based on provided business requirements/business needs.Identifies those twenty percent of the requirements that realize eighty percent of the business value and convinces the business about the proposed trade-off by excluding requirements form the original project scope or by eliminating change requests.
- Facilitates alignment with the business product/domain owner around priority, budget, timing, in function of the defined project/change request scope
- Takes proactive actions in order to timely anticipate on business project demands and change requests based on known problems, technical debts and feedback from business and IT stakeholders
- Provides input for fine-tuning technology roadmaps to the day-to-day operational context and regularly aligns with the responsible IT director about roadmap implementation
- Facilitates the creation of competence pools within his/her domain (c.f. functional and technical analysis)
- Defines the software processes in his/her domain (c.f. requirements development and requirements management) and actively monitors correct implementation of the designed processes and templates
- Responsible for correct hand-over of analysis artifacts (CF. use cases, functional design, etc.) to the relevant stakeholders in the IT department (eg portfolio manager, delivery team manager, test manager)
- End-to-end responsible for all requirements documentation for new projects and change requests.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Master degree in computing, engineering or business economics
- Strong communicator, able to translate technical aspects in business impact
- Problem solving mentality, takes decisions based on rational with respect to all stakeholders
- At least 7-10 years of relevant business experience in large IT organization.
- Experience in managing multicultural environment.
