An opportunity has arisen for an interim Demand & Forecasting Manager to join our organisation for a period of 6 months. The purpose of the role is to analyse demand trends to optimise sales value, customer service and supply chain efficiencies across the business. Responsible for planning, execution and management of the forecast for the company product portfolio, being a key liaison between all product franchises in conjunction with supply chain and finance

We develop, produce and market a broad portfolio of generic and biosimilar medicines, as well as pharmaceutical and biotechnological active substances.

Major Accountabilities:
* To ensure demands are managed to forecast and market share so that any significant variances are challenged and investigated with Sales for reasons for the deviations so that corrective actions can be put in place.
* To stand in for the Sales director on sales related meetings eg senior leadership meetings as necessary, weekly P&L updates.
* To maximise margins due to product shortages through a process of controlled pricing whist managing demands through key customers.
* To drive customer service through demand management whilst optimising value driven sales
* Responsible for the stock allocation and execution of excess and short-dated sales in conjunction with the relevant sales departments and working closely with finance on provisions to minimise write offs and reductions in net realisable values.
* Accountable for the consolidation of sales information as actual sales and forward promotional activities including new business either in new channels and/or new product launches and converted to a sales forecast.
* Accountable for the day-to-day planning and execution of 18 month rolling forecast on SKU level.
* Improve forecast accuracy through liaising with the Sales departments and customers, driving key business performance measures such as stock availability, slow moving stock and stock write-offs.
* To identify short term peaks and trends that may indicate issues in the market place which will damage service, inventories or an opportunity to maximise stock value.
* Where market issues exist to raise awareness to the sales teams and where necessary escalate a proposed price increase which if approved to be implemented immediately.
* Provide various reports to business such as Short Dated Stock Report, Excess Stock Report which drives sales and reduces write-off and slow moving stock provision.
* Co-ordinate and consolidate detailed sales and pricing model for LE's, Budget and StratPlans.
* Using statistical methods, develop and maintain market volume/trend mapping of all major existing SKU to feedback into forecasting process.
* Responsible for co-ordinating with supply, to ensure sufficient replenishment to avoid stock-outs and excessive stocks.
* Accountable for the maintenance of material numbers in the forecasting tool.
* Maintenance of APO net forecasting system.
* Participate in Group forecast projects.
* S & OP Meetings Preparations
* Supply Review Meetings

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background with a questioning mind and the ability to challenge when required. This is a customer facing role integral to our Sales department where forecasting accuracy is crucial to ensure stock is managed efficiently. Previous experience within a Generics, Pharmaceutical, FMCG or Retailer highly advantageous.hy-phen Limited is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
