PROJECT DELIVERY MANAGER

A Project Delivery Manager with Financial Services and PCI DSS experience is required to work on a 5 month contract for our Financial Services client based in Swindon.

Operating within our clients Change Framework, accountable for the delivery of low complexity projects, on schedule, to budget and to the required levels of quality; ensuring that key project deliverables are fit for purpose and will enable the defined project outcomes.

OVERVIEW OF THE PROJECT DELIVERY MANAGER CONTRACT ROLE

- Day-to-day management of low complexity projects or management of one of more work stream on medium complexity projects/programmes
- Ownership and accountability for delivery throughout the full project life cycle from inception through to closedown
- Direction and leadership of virtual teams to ensure that project outputs are delivered on schedule, to budget and the required level of quality
- Ownership and accountability for the development and maintenance of project plans and use of other delivery tools and processes as defined by the Nationwide Change Framework and PM/PMO Practice
- Management of internal and external suppliers, ensuring that work packages are clearly defined and that projects are appropriately resourced at all times
- Pro-active identification, communication, resolution and escalation of Risks and Issues
- Management of scope through formal change control process; provision of clearly defined impact assessments to facilitate informed decisions by the Project Board
- Delivery of consistent communication, ensuring stakeholders are fully engaged and able to support delivery
- Generation of accurate, relevant and timely reporting to enable process to be tracked centrally
- Delivery of products and services capable of realising the benefits as defined in the business case

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE PROJECT DELIVERY MANAGER

- Working knowledge of Project Management tools/practices
- Full understanding of the Change Framework and governance gateway processes through the full project life cycle
- Understanding of the full Project Lifecycle
- Experience of team management in Matrix environment
- Commercial awareness and experience of supplier management/engagements
- Understanding of strategy and vision

The role is based in Swindon this is commutable from London, Midlands, Bristol and Oxford.
