Delivery Director

My client, a leading QLD employer has a newly created contract position available for an experienced Delivery Director to join a major program of work based conveniently on the CBD fringe. Reporting into the Senior Director the role of Delivery Director is to ensure the successful management, oversight and delivery of large scale, complex Information Management (IM) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) programs and projects. More specifically, manage the implementation and integration of infrastructure and enterprise applications.

Responsibilities of the role include:

* Oversee the successful delivery of multiple programs and projects comprising complex and high risk projects to ensure the Project delivery outcomes are achieved.
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders by undertaking high level strategic negotiations, providing expert advice and resolving complex risks and issues within the Infrastructure Program.
* Participate in the selection of a System Integrator (SI) and the ongoing management of the System Integrators deliverables.
* Provide expert advice and strategic direction into the development of Infrastructure program outcomes and project deliverables to ensure they meet business case requirements, quality standards and comply with the organisations policies, strategies and architecture.
* Ensure Infrastructure outcomes are managed in accordance with best practice guidelines and formal program and project management approaches and methodologies to enable the achievement of consistent and quality program and project outcomes.
* Lead the integration and reconciliation of competing demands for multiple Program resources and maintain the overall integrity and coherence of the program.
* Manage and report on program and performance against program/project plans and budgets - monitoring the expenditures and costs against benefits that are realised as the program progresses.

Keys skills and experience required;

* Demonstrated high level leadership, conceptualisation and design of programs comprising multiple large-scale, complex and high risk projects.
* Demonstrated understanding of contemporary human resource management policies, procedures and practices including anti-discrimination, ethical behavior and occupational health and safety.
* Excellent problem solver and analytical thinker who is able to synthesise information in order to make and implement successful decisions.
* Strong program planning, administrative and organizational skills; the ability to manage time efficiently, meet deadlines, work independently and in a team environment.
* Demonstrated high level program/project management skills, with the ability to achieve successful program outcomes using project management methodologies; specifically Prince2 and MSP
* Proven ability to lead, manage and mentor multiple multi-disciplinary program and/or project teams including the communication with senior and executive.
