[DEFENCE] DATA CENTRE TECHNICIAN - ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

You are applying for a position within a globally renowned organisation that supports the UK National Security network with a variety of services, including those within the Mechanical & Electrical Engineering sector. In this post, you will be working as an independent contractor to deliver technical services within a dedicated team of professionals.

AS A DATA CENTRE TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

- Managing your own workload within a small, dedicated team of technical professionals covering the installation, termination and testing of Cat 5e/6 & fibre cables
- The configuration and audit of electrical installations within a large data centre in a secure environment
- The installation and testing of electrical wiring in accordance with BS7671
- Liaising directly with the building management company within a highly secure environment to deliver a range of technical services
- The disposal and declassification of sensitive material as part of a large project relating to the outfit of a secure data centre

The site you will be working on is highly secure as a result of the high level of security clearance that is required in order to access this site. You will need to hold current DV clearance in order to secure this contract.

In this contract, you will have to opportunity to engage with government staff at all levels on a daily basis. With that in mind, you will benefit from having an interest in your work alongside the organisation you will be working with.
