Our client, a leading Public Sector organisation, is seeking to appoint an experienced Business Case Manager to join their Defence Projects team based in Bristol, South West. As the Business Case Manager you will be responsible for the development of our clients Main Gate Business Case, liaising with major stakeholders and delivering on time benefits, cost analysis and timescales.

Key Tasks and Deliverables:
*This role will be responsible for the development of the Main Gate Business Case for Project to the required deadlines, to include proactively engaging with all relevant stakeholders to provide/gain information relating to project objectives, benefits, cost analysis, timescales, risks, etc.
*The role will be responsible for ensuring that the Business Case and all associated documentation is fully compliant with internal policy and procedures and proactively manage it through the relevant governance processes.
*The role is expected to provide weekly reports on financial status, progress, risks and issues
*Will be required to work as part of a small team to deliver their outputs to the required quality within very short timescales.
*Team working - as well as working within the immediate project team, the successful candidate will be required to engage with the finance and commercial teams in developing the business case, and engagement with the team
*Provide high quality, accurate data on the first pass and to be able to handover to the project staff who will manage the new contract, providing a detailed knowledge transfer.

Key Skills and Experience:
-Success with writing (and achieving approval of) Business Cases of a similar value (circa £80M)
-Experience in writing Investment Appraisals
-Experience of the MOD approvals process
-Understanding of the rules relating to competitive tenders

Desirable:
-Experience of the nuclear sector
-Experience of the submarine sector
