DEFECT MANAGER - LUXEMBOURG
We are currently seeking a Defect Manager to join JP Morgan's Testing team in Luxembourg on an initial 6 months contract.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Co-ordinate the Test Team activities on a day to day basis
- Monitor all work in progress to ensure quality deliveries
- Development of test strategies and detailed test plans & scripts
- Prioritise test team requests and allocate appropriate resources
- Establish standards & procedures for the test team
- Sign-off of testing and support for the release to production
- Working with technology to co-ordinate and manage defect reporting and tracking
- Review business requirements, system and functional specification documents and ensure the end to end business solution meets the business needs
- Facilitate walkthroughs of business solution
- Assist Application Developers (internal and external) and Technical Support staff in identifying and resolving problems.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Defect Manager experience is KEY for this role
- Software quality control experience
- Experience in test automation is required (eg Quality Center/Test Director)
- Experience within Transfer Agency (TA) or other related Financial Experience
- Experience with equalisation/series of shares/limited partnerships/hurdle rates/performance fee structures also a considered advantage
- Experience in dealing with web reporting applications
- Strong SQL skills and experience of working in a SQL/SQL
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
NON-TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Strong leadership and people management skills with experience leading a team.
- Proactive, well organised, detail oriented, process strong decision making and ability and work independently
- Demonstrate excellent analytical and logical thinking to understand and analyze complex business processes
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Attention to detail and strong organisational/planning skills
- Logical and works well under pressure
- Good listening and questioning skills
- Target driven with proven ability to motivate
- Excellent business analytical and negotiation skills
