Decision Science Analyst

Senior SAS Credit Risk Analyst is needed by a fast-growing financial services company in the subprime space to play a major role in their Credit Risk team. This is an exciting opportunity as the role involves developing and maintaining Risk models and also support and enhance the company's wider range of statistical models. You will also be required to take insight from the models, how they perform, and contribute to strategy development on the back of this.

THE ROLE:

This role will really maximise your talents in creating models for the group as the position will include all model types such as Decision Trees, CHAID Analysis, Logistic and Linear Regression, Exploratory Data Analysis and many more. Additionally, you will get the opportunity to use your proven expertise and knowledge of scorecards by being involved in the key stages of its development. The opportunity will allow you to work autonomously and to play a major part in growing a start-up business. You will have sole responsibility over the credit risk modelling function and will get heavily involved in setting new strategies to influence where the business will be going in the future

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIEINCE:

- Proven knowledge and experience on the hands on development of credit risk scorecards such as application and behaviour scorecards
- Experience undertaking insight driven analysis and developing strategies.
- Strong academic background with a minimum classification of 2:1 in a highly numerate Bachelor's Degree such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or similar where an MSc is not essential but is desirable.
- Excellent experience using SAS
- Strong written and oral communication skills allowing you to express your analysis and ideas effectively with technical and non-technical individuals.
- You need to have rigorous attention to detail, work well under pressure, and be able to easily adapt to very complex and ambiguous environments within the role.
