Our client, a large banking organisation is looking to recruit an experienced manager to join a collections and recoveries team in the South West.

JOB DETAILS:

Reporting to the Head of Collections, Recoveries and Transaction Fraud Operations, this is an opportunity to lead the Collections team aligning with the wider customer operations teams.

COMMON

- Contributes to the development of business performance, strategy and ensures the co-ordination and delivery of effective information, interpretation and guidance, enabling business areas to assess the downstream implications linked to their decisions.
- Initiates, leads and delivers agreed change programmes to achieve continuous improvement.
- Encourages adherence to risk and compliance policies and relevant external regulatory frameworks within their function or team.
- Leads, manages and motivates a high performing team, developing colleagues through stretching objectives, feedback and coaching, contributing to their development and providing ongoing support.

SPECIFIC

- Acts as a senior source of steer and expertise and input into the development of C&R processes, strategy and business plans
- Responsible for service delivery across all services
- Responsible for supporting the delivery of fraud losses within budget and risk appetite
- Responsible for control and reduction of complaint volumes within C&R
- Supporting prioritisation, agreement and delivery of departmental change agenda
- Build and maintain close relationships and leverage support from other business areas across operations, risk and products
- Development and leadership of C&R and also the wider head of remit
- Ensuring delivery fair outcomes to our customers
- Ensuring adherence to business continuity planning requirements
- Oversight of development and maintenance of training strategies

The role involves working closely with the business readiness team along with the central teams to ensure change lands well and is Embedded within the business area.

The successful candidate will work closely with other operational and support areas to understand performance and the key issue resolution. There will also be a need to build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders in other areas of the business.

- Proven collections and/or recoveries background
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Strong influencer and negotiator at all levels
