DD - SQL Server Data Modeler and ETL Programmer

We are seeking a talented Microsoft SQL Server Data Modeler and ETL programmer interested in helping us create a robust and performant CMDB. You will be responsible for creating and extending the most practical schema and assisting with interfacing with a variety of other systems to extract data, scrub/normalize it and populate the database you create. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with ETL and CMDB experience and should thrive on providing solutions that satisfy the users of this data warehouse. Candidates should be self-motivated and capable of managing their projects from requirement gathering to final implementation with minimal supervision. You will also work closely with the SQL Report Programmer to assist that developer where needed to create the required reports as needed. Must be proficient running SQL Server in the AWS Cloud.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for
Gathering and Documenting the requirements of the CMDB application
Collaborating with personnel and management as necessary to understand and harvest the required data sources
Designing the CMDB Schema to support ingestion of all the data sources, generating reports as required and vetting and refining the results with the users and management
Performing level 3 troubleshooting when problems arise
Creating and maintaining a CMDB to support, Software/Hardware Asset Management and other use cases
Working with the Enterprise Architecture and Security groups to ensure compliance with corporate standards
Documenting technical architectures that can be easily understood by other technical personnel
Maintaining API and other interface points with other subsystems
Configuring and customizing all aspects of the CMDB
Collaborating with other project members, particularly the SSRS/Report programmer to provide the schema to support the report generation activities

Required Qualifications
Excellent English language communication skills
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years Relational Database and SQL experience, at least 5 of which must be in environments with complex, multi-gigabyte, replicated instances of Microsoft SQL Server
Minimum of 3 years of configuring and optimizing SSIS
At least 3 years experience working in a Production/Development high-availability environment
Professional experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012/2014
Ability to work comfortably with local and remote customers and technical resources
Proficiency with appropriate tools including SQL Management Studio, Query Analyzer, Profiler, Performance Monitor and other SQL Server management tools
Proficiency with version control software, preferably Git, though other will suffice
Functional competency with Microsoft Office

Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with Amazon Cloud Services
Microsoft certification
SCRUM/Agile development paradigm
