Dcs Engineer

DCS/PLC Engineer - East Anglia - 6 Month Contract - Rates Negotiable

We are looking for a number of Systems Engineers with Oil & Gas project experience. This will be based from our client's Cambridgeshire office with the for overseas assignments. Experience of Control System Vendors (ICS Triplex/Rockwell, Yokogawa, Honeywell, Abb, Siemens and Emerson) is preferred.

Responsibilities:

To design, configure, test and commission all or part of the integrated control & safety system.
To comply with company practices and procedures.
Responsibility for ensuring up-to-date knowledge for IEC61508 and 61511 safety standards.
To understand, specification & user requirement documentation and advise on customer requirements.
To identify scope changes and to assist in detailing the impact of such changes in terms of cost and schedule.
To assist with bid estimation and clarifications.
To work as a member of a project team in the executing of the project

Essential Skills/Qualifications

Proven experience in the design, configuration, testing and commissioning of integrated control systems in the oil and gas or similar industries.
Experienced at working on both national and international projects.
Familiar with current national and international engineering standards.Knowledge of IT server based PC and network systems as used in process control systems.
Microsoft office, SPI, or databases.
Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
Willingness to work overseas.
Eligible to work in the UK
