Our client, a world leading engine and aerospace manufacturer, is currently recruiting for an Implementation Engineer for a 3-6 month contract to be based in Derby, United Kingdom.
visiumFUELTM is an established fuel management system helping airlines manage their flight programmes. We have an exciting opportunity for a Database Developer to work in a large established team to help develop the next generation of the fuel management solution.
As a DBA and Database Developer, you will be responsible and expected to be a versatile Developer, with strong SQL Server 2012 experience.
Key deliverables:
Technical Skills:
- Development using Microsoft Team Foundation Server and Visual Studio 2013
- Microsoft SQL Server 2012 including SSIS and SSRS
- UML 2
- Data warehousing patterns including ETL processes
- Database design, development and testing
- Database security practices with SQL Server
- Benchmarking, problem diagnosis and performance optimisation in SQL Server
- Creation and documentation of SQL solutions for long term maintainability
- SSRS report creation
- Deployment of SQL solutions, including SSIS and SSRS
- Needs to have detailed hands-on database development experience using the Microsoft tool chain
Desirable:
- Fuel management domain knowledge
- Civil aviation domain knowledge
- Entity Framework 5 or above
- Git version control
- Exposure to EAV, commonly used in the scientific sector
- Experience of working in 3rd line support
