DB2 for z/OS Systems Specialist

We are currently looking to recruite DB2 for z/OS systems specialistin Poland, Wroclaw

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

All aspects of DB2 systems administration for DB2 for z/OS and DB2 for z/OS products including installation, configuration, upgrading, and providing maintenance of the systems software and products in a large enterprise system environment (>50 LPAR's and >50 DB2 systems);
Development and maintenance of required documentation in WIKI,WORD,POWERPOINT and EXCEL.
DB2 for z/OS problem determination and resolution.
Building, troubleshooting and changing scheduled jobs and following the customer's hand over procedures.
Active Recommendation of improvements for performance of DB2 for z/OS.

The candidate shall perform and have expert knowledge of the following recurring tasks that incorporate the duties described above:

- DB2 back-up and recovery in datasharing and non-datasharing environment
- DB2 installation and migration of DB2 in datasharing and non-datasharing environment
- DB2 performance and tuning
- DB2 problem analysis and problem resolution
- Support of the planning, configuration and migration of DB2 systems in a large, international installation with multiple locations in a multi customer environment
- Cloning DB2 systems with Flash-copy and TDMF - daily
- Oral and written communication with management - daily
- Readiness to work nights and weekends - As required.
- Technical lead in migration and Release or Version change projects - As required.
- Participation in customer projects - As required.
- Configuration Management and Change Control Procedures - As required.
- Troubleshooting software failures, including contact and support of the IBM software service request system (PMR) as well as the Allianz Incident & Problem Management System (IPM)

Required Skills:

At least 10 years specialised experience with IBM's DB2 for z/OS proven knowledge of Flashcopy (full and incremental copy) and TDMF expert knowledge of the following products:

- DB2 V10 for z/OS (in datasharing and non-datasharing environment)
- DB2 V10 for z/OS Utility suite
- IBM DB2 Administration Tool
- IBM DB2 Log Analysis Tool for z/OS
- IBM DB2 Object Comparison Tool
- IBM DB2 High Performance Unload for z/OS
- IBM InfoSphere Replication Server for z/OS
- CDB Reorg
- BMC Mainview for DB2
- Familiar with z/OS, JES2, TSO ISPF, DFSMS, USS, IPCS, EREP, RACF, WLM
- Familiar with Office products eg WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT
- Expert knowledge of SMP/E
- Expert knowledge of IPCS and EREP
- Expert knowledge of JCL, ISPF skels and macros, CLIST and REXX
