We are seeking an IT - Software Engineer with long-term experience in the DB2 & partially AIX and Change Management. The team is responsible for all DB2 related service delivery, engineering und DB2 architecture tasks. For System Administration they deliver a 7x24H On Call and/or weekend Support.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Data Architect skill set:
Database Optimization, Backup & Restore strategies, Indexes, XML optimization
Change Management experience
Performance Tuning - Strategies for improved performance across the whole Performance Stack
Disaster Recovery and High Availability - Techniques such as Linux Clustering, Tivoli Storage Automation,
HADR SAN Replication, Global Mirroring
Extending functionality, sometimes integrating with Legacy systems
Warehouse experience (Banking)
Experience with new Storage technologies like 'Flash storage', Storage tiring
Experience with Column based Databases like Terradata, Neteeza..
Programming (Perl, Shell)
Integration with External Applications
Capacity Planning
Dataflow analysis for performance improvement to reduce physical IO in a complex environment
