DB2 DBA - Major Blue Chip - Dublin

For this role you will:                                                   

4+ years of DB2 database administration experience.                 

DB2 9 and 10 version experience on Linux, AIX & Windows on Intel.    

Implementing and managing DB2 high-availability technologies such as HACMP and HADR

Development and migration of DB2 through development, test and production environments

Production database performance analysis                            

SME support of DB2 tools and utilities

Engage with technical infrastructure support teams and IT development teams in performance and problem resolution and application design and development                                  

Develop & Provide documentation as appropriate                       

Apply best practices where possible.                                

Provide guidance to and assist in the training of less experienced staff

Be required to take part in an on-call rota and provide cover for some Out of Hours tasks.         

We require a DB2 DBA who would be located on site at the Dublin Campus.

There would also be occasions when the DBA would be required to attend customer sites and flexibility would be required in this regard.

The DB2 Administrator will provide database and operating system level  troubleshooting support in a Linux, WINTEL and AIX operating environments.

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to work on high level DB2 projects and also day to day support.
