Our client is looking for "DB2 DBA and Mainframe zOS Engineer"
Job Location: Zurich, Switzerland
Job Duration: 12 Months Extendable Contract
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluate, plan and integrate technical infrastructure solutions, on zOS with DB2 and Cobol
Guarantee a secure infrastructure environment as well as production stability, performance and capacity management
Analyze errors in systems and define corrective measures (you've got a good eye)
Competencies - Required
Proven track record as DB2 Database Administrator on Mainframe zOS (NOT Linux UDB)
Very good Cobol programming knowledge and experience
Sound zOS knowledge to analyze and improve performance
Experience with Control-M and BMC tools such as Mainview etc.
Good knowledge of allied Mainframe technologies - CICS, JCL, VSAM, etc.
SOFT SKILLS
Good communication skills and good cooperation with other IT- and Business-Teams
Strong aptitude for understanding and analysing large amounts of data from multiple sources
Utilizes variety of interpersonal styles and communication methods to effectively adapt to new work structures, processes, or cultures
