DB2 DBA - 12 Month Contract - English Speaking Contract in Zurich

For this role as an DB2 DBA Engineer with long-term experience in the DB2 & partially AIX Area we are looking for the following skillsets: Small Team with 7 - DB2 Sys Admins/Engineers & 4 - DBAs. 

The team is responsible for all DB2 related service delivery, engineering & DB2 architecture tasks. 
For Sys Admin they deliver a 7x24H On Call and/or weekend Support Data Architect skill set:

KNOWLEDGE IN BI TECHNOLOGY AND DATA ANALYSIS
Knowledge about/around Data Migration Tools
Data Modeling - Enterprise Data Modeling with an emphasis on transactional enterprise data models meeting normalization rules
Knowledge around Data Integration - disparate source systems and disparate data formats.
Knowledge in Database Design - Structured methods for design (eg Star shema, snowflake )
Knowledge in Data Architecture - Conceptual Model methods
Experience in Metadata Management

Database Architect skill set:

Security Architecture expert
DATABASE ENGINE IN-DEPTH ESPECIALLY IN DB2 DPF (DATABASE PARTITIONING FEATURE)
ETL TOOLS - DESIGNING AND IMPLEMENTING ETL PROCESSES
DATABASE DESIGN PATTERNS - OLAP,DSS
Database Usage Methods - OLAP, DSS
New Technologies like Columnar based (DB2 Blu), Hadoop..
Data Storage Techniques. Defining database server IO profiles and mapping to storage methods such as DAS, SAN, SSD, RAID levels,
Database Optimization Techniques such as Partitioned Tables, Queues,SQL programming, Exceution Plans, Data File management to support different usage,full range of Backup & Restore strategies, Indexes, XML optimization
Performance Tuning - Strategies for improved performance across the whole Performance Stack
Disaster Recovery and High Availability - Techniques such as Linux Clustering, Tivoli Storage Automation, HADR SAN Replication, Global Mirroring
Extending functionality, sometimes integrating with Legacy systems
Warehouse experience (Banking)
Experience with new Storage technologies like 'Flash storage', Storage tiring
Experience with Column based Databases like Terradata, Neteeza..
Programming (Perl, Shell)
Integration with External Applications 
Capacity Planning
Dataflow analysis for performance improvement to reduce physical IO in a complex environment
Work experience required

Self-employed person, target oriented, flexible and communicative personality, which one to estimate the cooperation in a small team. Analytical intellectual capacity as well as several years of field experience in the Unix area, AIX & deep skills in the DB2 LUW are prerequisite. Preferred are DB2 Architectural, DB2 Design and Engineering skills. Excellent Skills in creating and analyze SQL as well as experience in performance and Tuning. Experience in the area system administration as well as engineering and Programming skills are preferred. Efficient handling/experience of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are prerequisite. English written and spoken, German nice to have.

Mandatory Skills

Great experience in DB2 LUW, relationally database, new DB technologies (Hadoop, Columnar..)
Experience in the area performance and Tuning
Good skills in creation and analyze/parse also from complex SQL's
AIX Unix and pre supposed system administration experience 
Analytical for Data warehouses in Financial industry
Database design (physical, logical)
DB2 DPF (Database Partitioning Feature)
