We are looking for a Database Administrator - DB2DBA in OH

Details:

Location: Raymond, OH

Start: 2 weeks

Duration: 6 months+

Perform daily, weekly and monthly check for Backups for DEV, QAT and PROD
Monitoring database backups and resolve any issues ie performance, space etc
Monitor and respond to CMDB alerts
Incident Management
Refreshing DB2 databases
Database objects creation on production and non-production Environments
Extensive Database Administration skills on IBM DB2 Databases on windows/linux/unix environments.
Must be able to perform DB2 LUW software new installs, upgrades, and fix pack. As well as third-party tool installation and configuration.
Well versed in using export/import, DB2move, Load utility. troubleshooting database issues using db2diag and notification logs, snapshot, event monitoring etc
Analyzing the SQL statements and recommending corrective steps
Migration and version upgrade of DB2 UDB Database, as per requirement
Be responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases.
Experience in building/managing standard database utilities like backups/reorgs/runstats etc. Leverage existing tools or build tools for DB utilities.
Experience in performance, tuning and optimization analysis, troubleshooting practices and procedures.
Query Performance Optimization.
Strong UNIX Shell Scripting skills, and especially have a strong ability to quickly understand, maintain and modify scripts authored by others.
Experienced in writing Stored Procedures, functions, triggers etc.
