REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Business experience

- Mandatory:
- Insurance or banking applications
- Preferable:
- Non-Life Insurance

Technical experience

- Mandatory:
- Experience and knowledge of Mainframe environment (IMS/TSO, JCL, PIM¡K)
- Experience in technical analysis and programming on Mainframe using Cobol and DB2
- FTP/IP (File Transfer Protocol)
- XML
- Testing capabilities (HP Quality Center)
- Able to convert functional designs into technical impact.
- Preferable:
- Integration of different technologies (Wintel, Cobol)
- Knowledge of ESB (Enterprise service bus) principles.

Functional experience

- Mandatory:
- Experience as Technical Analyst, ideally in large company, in contact with Business stakeholders
- Preferable:
- Some experience in functional design should help
- Knowledge of software development methods, for example, SOA, UML, Lean.

OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB

Your mission as technical Designer:

- You develop performing computer solutions that meet the customers' requirements.
- You challenge the solutions proposed by the functional analyst in order to make your program as efficient as possible
- You implement in Cobol your own technical analysis. You will collaborate with the .NET developers when interfacing our Mainframe programs with the distributed computing world.
- You are very careful with the impacts of your solutions on the systems using our referential
- You give spontaneous feedback about the status of your developments to the functional analysts and to the project manager.
- You participate actively in the test activities, giving feedback to the test and project managers
- You will regularly suggest improvements to development processes as well as to existing systems.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT:

Mandatory:

- Dutch and French, one fluent and good understanding of the other one.
- Good level of English

LEVEL OF EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor, master in Information systems, computer science or a relevant domain (or equivalent through experience)
