DB2 ADMINISTRATOR (LINUX, UNIX, WINDOWS) - BRUSSELS, BELGIUM - ENGLISH SPEAKING

One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a DB2 Administrator.

PLEASE FIND SOME DETAILS BELOW:

1. TECHNICAL SKILLS
- 3-5 years DB2 experience on Linux, Unix & Windows with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
- Windows clustering
- Create/maintain DBA scripts
- Installations/Upgrades of DB2
- Bug diagnostics & reporting
- Database creation & customization, tuning
- Database backup & restore
- Database refreshes, Replication, Scripting of databases
- Problem & incident solving

2. OTHER SKILLS
- Client oriented
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to assess risks and criticality of issues to appropriately prioritize activities
- Good teaming and communication skills
- Fluent in English, both writing and speaking. Good knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
- Resistance to operational pressure
- Ability to respect procedures, to review and propose improvements
- Flexible and willing to perform planned interventions outside the official working hours
- Taking ownership and in showing dedication

Needs to be on-call

Weekend coverage is required.

Travel is not required.

Extension beyond March 2015 is likely.
