DB2 Administrator

Next Ventures is urgently looking for a DB2 Administrator for contract work in the Netherlands.

As a Database Administrator - DB2 you will be responsible for performing routine installation, tuning and maintenance of database software used in the support and DB2 health checks. Primary duties included, but are not limited to installing, configuring and maintaining product based on specified requirements and product guidelines; performing routine database administration and performance tuning; planning and implementing back-up and recovery of databases; performing troubleshooting and resolving recurring problems.

Required

At least 5 years' experience in DB2 performance tuning

At least 5 years' experience in Physical database definition (DDL) and understanding of logical database design (ie data models and dictionary

At least 5 years' experience in Ability to update Logical Data Model and Dictionary

At least 5 years' experience in update Physical Database

At least 5 years' experience in Create database scripts

At least 5 years' experience in Understanding of database architecture concepts

At least 5 years' experience in Ability to work independently and creatively on problem resolution of complex technical problems
