Datawarehouse Developer - SQL BI Server 2008 - Federal Government

One of ACT's high profile Federal Government departments require an experienced DATAWAREHOUSE DEVELOPER to work as a collaborative member of the team to develop and deliver on a number of high priority Datawarehouse projects aligned with industry best practice, Business Intelligence warehouse development standards and the reporting needs of the business.

Your responsibilities will include (but won't be limited to) the following:

- Development and documentation of data marts, warehouse, cubes and reporting;
- Analysis and identification of data integration opportunities and ongoing development of conformed dimensions;
- Monitoring the data and activities of the Datawarehouse;
- Providing support
- Assist in administering the Datawarehouse environment, including security, data growth, performance, backup, platform upgrades, log maintenance, support agreements and disaster recovery

To be successful for this role you will need to meet the following criteria;

- Extensive demonstrated experience with MS SQL Server BI 2008 toolset (preferably 2008 R2) in a Datawarehouse or reporting environment essential including DB, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS.
- Proven ability to analyse complex data and schemas and develop innovative, business focused Datawarehouse solutions.
- Demonstrated interpersonal capabilities including negotiation and conflict resolution skills and the ability to work individually or as part of a team to deliver positive Business Intelligence outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities, use initiative and deliver results under pressure.
- Well developed communication skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
