Datawarehouse Architect - Enterprise Scale Site

As the Datwarehouse Expert, it is expected that you will deliver:

- EDW solutions within agreed time, cost and quality expectations;
- Manage customer, business stakeholder and project team relationships throughout the solution development and support life cycle for small or large EDW projects,
- Provide production systems support to meet customer demand for the resolution of EDW and Reporting related incidents, problems, service requests and business improvement initiative;
- Research and evaluate new EDW and reporting technologies and opportunities for business improvement as required. Utilise and promote best practise methodologies for EDW and Reporting management, development, testing and support;
- Provide technical advice to other staff and participate in skills transfer as required;
- Promote the principles of workplace diversity and participative management in a safe, healthy, environmentally friendly workplace.

Preference will be given to applicants with skills and experience in the use of Microsoft SQLServer, Microsoft Great Plains (or other Financial Management Systems) and knowledge of Government financial management processes.

In order to be successful in this role, our client, a federal government agency need a selection criteria to be addressed.

Criteria will include:- - develop and deliver EDW solutions within agreed time, cost and quality expectations
- highly developed EDW knowledge, including design, development and implementation.
- sound understanding of structured system life cycle management methodologies and EDW concepts (such as data analysis and dimensional modelling, data mart design, enterprise data definition, ETL, data quality and governance
- extensive knowledge and experience in developing and supporting an EDW including the use of Business Intelligence toolsets such as MicroStrategy, Cognos, Business Objects or Hyperion (preferably MicroStrategy)
- adhere to agreed standards and better practice frameworks for EDW architecture, project management and system development life cycle management.
- effectively contribute to the development and maturity of quality control frameworks for ICT service delivery including EDW and Reporting development, support and management.
- judgement, flexibility, agility, responsiveness and demonstrated high performance in problem solving and an ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve positive outcomes for business customers.

A NEGATIVE VETTING 1 level security clearance, Australian citizenship.
