DATASTAGE EXPERT

One of our market leading clients is urgently looking for a senior DataStage expert who can take the lead role in a development team for Datastage project setup, generic DataStage design and implementing best practices in a team of experienced ETL developers (but not DataStage experts).

Best practices should focus on generic logging and error handling, generic design patterns, version control and release management, and implementation of high performance solutions.

LOCATION: Amsterdam

CONTRACT: 6 months + Extension

RATES: Excellent!

RESPONSIBILITY:

Coaching, development of standards, help to build with ETL

MUST HAVE:

Expert tool knowledge of DataStage 8.7

Extensive experience with the DS setup for large DS projects, setup of ETL Design standards, generic components and job templates in datawarehouse environments

Experience with the use of large relational databases (and experience with the trade off of executing logic in DS vs the database)

Coaching skills.

NICE TO HAVE:

Knowledge of BDW, Anchor- or Datavault-modelling

Knowledge of Netezza.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

SHOULD HAVE:

Experience with Balanced Optimization

Experience with DS 9.1.

Competence:

Coaching, developing, toolarchitect

LANGUAGES:

English and/or Dutch
