Datastage ETL Developers - Canberra

My client is one of the large Government groups, who need several AUSTRALIAN Citizen DataStage Developers, for longterm contract roles, based in Canberra

They require several developers, to complete the establishment of a single data warehouse on a project base

YOUR SERVICES WILL INCLUDE AND NOT BE LIMITED TO:

- Extract, design and implement extraction and load control;
- Complete analysis, design, construction and implementation of Data Integration solution;
- Draft and consult on design and implementation documentation;
- Conduct peer reviews;
- Analyse, test and promote changes to the environments following SDLC;
- Contribute to existing standards, procedures and best practices for ETL framework; and
- Other duties as directed.

MANDATORY/ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

- A minimum of 3+ years development experience with DataStage;
- Multiple full-life cycle BI or Data Migration project experience, including both design and implementation on the same projects;
- Knowledge of IBM DataStage (v7.5 or higher)
- Sound practical SQL experience;
- Knowledge of implementation of third normal form (3NF) and dimensional (Kimball) data models;
- Clear written and verbal communication skills;
- Testing (integration and regression) capability;
- Ability to be a creative thinker and results orientated;
- Ability to rapidly assimilate the Department's data and environments;

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

- Knowledge of data integration on IBM DB2 AIX PREFERRED;
- Knowledge, or an awareness of Agile project methods, such as Scrum.
- Excellent rates will be paid
