Datastage Consultant (Infosphere, TWS, Information Governance)

DATASTAGE CONSULTANT (IBM INFOSPHERE, DATASTAGE, TWS, INFORMATION GOVERNANCE CATALOG):

My leading financial services client in Amsterdam is seeking a contract DataStage Consultant (IBM InfoSphere, DataStage, TWS, Information Governance Catalog) for a long-term IBM InfoSphere Data Lake implementation.

THE DATASTAGE CONSULTANT (IBM INFOSPHERE, DATASTAGE, TWS, INFORMATION GOVERNANCE CATALOG) WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING ROLE:

- To unlock information sources via the Data Lake (IBM Infosphere)
- To import and export datasets
- To manage applications and optimise scripts in such languages as Java, Python and Bash
- To secure a compliant and safe IT environment
- Version control and automatic deployment (Git, Jenkins, Artifactory)
- Help improve your team's prowess in continuous delivery, automatic deployment and testing of applications and environments

THE DATASTAGE CONSULTANT (IBM INFOSPHERE, DATASTAGE, TWS, INFORMATION GOVERNANCE CATALOG) WILL IDEALLY HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Ideally, a university degree in IT or equivalent
- At least 4 years of complex IT implementation experience
- Experience of working in Agile/Scrum technologies
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Strong drive towards automatisation
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS (6/7)
- Shell Scripting with Bash
- IBM Infosphere (DataStage, TWS, Information Governance Catalog)
- Scheduling (ideally, Tivoli Workstation)
- RDBMS (Oracle/Netezza/Postgress)
- Continuous Delivery (Ansible, Puppet, Git and Artifactory)
- Bonus: IBM Pure Data Analytics (Netezza)
- Bonus: affinity with Hadoop & NoSQL
- Bonus: affinity with streaming technology (Spark, Kafka, Flink)
