Axica Recruitment has an urgent need for a French and English speaking DataStage Consultant to work a 6-9 months contact in Quebec
Responsibilities:
- Prepare functional and technical specifications of the project.
- Proceed to estimate the number of days/resources based on technology needs and projects.
- Analyze and document the impacts to infrastructure from the project definition.
- Make recommendations for alternatives in connection with the expertise
- Write unit tests scenarios for IT projects
- Define the level of testing when new tests are required.
- Proceed to final approval once the unit tests executed.
- Perform code reviews with the developers.
- Ensure that the program meets the project specifications.
- Perform the final validation when processing change requests.
- Work with developers to ensure optimum solutions in a timely manner.
- Provide support for quality assurance testing integrated system.
- Analyze the results after the execution of a complete cycle.
- Document and update the existing functional and technical standards.
- Adapt existing standards to meet the technical requirements.
- Develop new standards required in the projects.
- Ensure that the functional and technical standards are applied and enforced across the organization.
Required:
- Experience in programming and development
- Solid understanding of the system architecture
- Good analytical and architectural skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent knowledge of Oracle
Desirable:
- Knowledge of PL/SQL Oracle
- Knowledge of Siebel
- Knowledge of UNIX (AIX)
- DB2 knowledge
- Knowledge of the scheduler CTRL-M BMC
