A great opportunity has arisen for a Datacom Support Engineer with Huawei Product experience to come on board and work for a Market leading telecommunications company based in Brussels, Belgium. This will be an initial 6 month position with possibility of extension. Rates are competitiveQualifications and experience:
IP Huawei product experience for more than 3 years
IP Huawei product upgrade experience
To understand the OSI reference model, to master the basic principle of TCP/IP protocol
To master the Ethernet/layer2 switching/Vlan principle.
To master the principle of OSPF/ISIS/BGP, the high-level characteristic and the complex application scene, to master the route inport, the route policy principle and application scene.
To understand MPLS L3VPN/L2VPN/VPLS principle.
To master VRRP principle.
The understanding of basic protocol of network management, to master the basic principle of SNMP and the network management operating system and the common database commands.
To understand the basic network security knowledge.
To master the principle of MPLS TE protocol.
To master the strategy formulation principle of QoS and the work principle of key technologies.
To master the basic theory about the high availability (HA) designs, to understand typical technology (BFD/GR/FRR/FC) principle.
Equipment characteristic, the essential performance index, the card type and common network of several typical Huawei Datacom equipments (Router/Switch).
To master the simple service configuration (with principle correspondence) on the Router/switch as well as debugging.
To master upgrading and maintenance knowledge about several Datacom products.
Work Experience:
Knowledge of the architecture of P, PE and RR Routers.Responsibilities:
Support Project Manager in the project plan.
Be in charge of validation and mass rollout of the new software.
Write upgrade procedure
Provide Costumer support on new software features
Join night operation for software upgrade approximately 2 nights per week.
Perform pre and post check before each upgrade.
Analyze configurationTroubleshooting issues related to upgrade
Ensure all operations are done within the foreseen timeframe
