Datacenter Technician

We are currently searching for a Data technician to work in Amsterdam, The Netherlands for 6 months + extensions. This is a fantastic contract opportunity for a large multi-national client.

Job description Datacenter Technician The Datacenter Team manages our datacenters worldwide. We are looking for a Datacenter Technichian Engineer. You will work in the Datacenter team to maintain our datacenters. Day to day work includes installing new server and network hardware, maintaining and repairing existing hardware, as well as projects to implement our cloud infrastructure. Primary job location is Schiphol-Rijk, regular travel to our remote datacenter locations will be required.Work in a team to deploy new data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
- Install new Servers en blade chasses as our Linux platform grows
- Design of rack layout and power allocation
- Help test and troubleshoot new server hardware components and designs
- Rack and stack Switches, Routers, and other networking devices
- Repair and replace hardware (hard drives, memory modules, power supplies, controllers, etc.)
- Configure and troubleshoot Linux OS related issues on our Servers
- Proactively monitor power usage, temperature, humidity, capacity, suite access
- Testing and implementation of high availability and disaster recovery solutions
- Provide assistance with vendors' technical support

Requirements:
- At least two years of hands-on experience in installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining all Servers, network Switches and associated devices in large, high availability data centers, preferably in the use of cold corridors Michael Bailey International is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
