Datacenter Operator Job

DATA CENTER OPERATOR needed for a contract opportunity to join Yoh's client in Carteret, NJ .

THE BIG PICTURE:

Under general supervision, he/she monitors and controls a computer by operating the central console or on line terminals and ensures a stable operating environment and attaining maximum utilization of system facilities.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Operates and monitors systems and peripheral equipment
- Schedules production runs
- Performs system backup process
- Disaster recovery tests
- Supports systems on a single platform
- Generally follows documented procedures
- Assists in hardware maintenance, cable management, server installs, inventory controls for cables and Servers

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science and one to three (1 - 3) years of experience monitoring systems
