JOB PROFILE DATACENTER ENGINEER
For one of our clients we are currently offering a position as Data center Engineer. We will get back to you shortly to inform you if your profile suits this vacancy.
As data center engineer, you will be architecting, designing and operational engineering the data center FOOTPRINT for Base Company. You will work closely within a Data Centre Operations team to deliver key operational efficiencies across all data centers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS DATACENTER ENGINEER
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering or Computer Science (Advanced degree preferred);
- 7+ years of industry experience in DATA CENTERengineering;
- BA5Certification (required);
- Direct experience building data center site and room layouts, as-built documentation, deep understanding of one-liners, floor plans and technical specifications;
- Ability to create design specifications and requirements documentation of RACK, computer room, and data centers;
- Advanced knowledge of Data center Systems, HVAC, HV and LV switch boards, Transformers, CHILLERS, Fire Alarms, Sprinkler systems, water detection systems, UPS, Battery technologies, GENERATORS, PDUs;
- Knowledge of data center site selection and data center life cycle elements, including server/rack deployment, operations, (preventive) maintenance, provisioning, migrations and decommissioning;
- Ability to work on multiple complex projects (both domestic and international project experience preferred);
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and act as technical lead on key projects;
- Stand-by/On-Call support on 24x7, required approximately in 1 week out of 5;
- Driving license B (BE or C is and add-on);
