Database Systems Analyst

SolTech, an Industry Leading Technology Firm is seeking a Database Systems Analyst needed to support segmentation project database requirements and systems analysis. This is an awesome opportunity to work with a talented technical team and dive into interesting, challenging database systems. You will be focusing on consolidating data for better performance.

Responsibilities:

- Install, configure and performance tuning of databases for each segment.
- Responsible for supporting SQL Server databases and ensuring their performance, availability and security.
- Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system.
- Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include Deployments and upgrades.
- Manage changes and database table reductionImplement and manage data replication.
- Identify tables and data elements that can be eliminated or archived to reduce data processing needs.

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of SQL Server Database Administration experience.
- Experience of SQL Server cluster installation, maintenance and support.
- Experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service.
- Experience in managing the internal and external SQL Server database security.
- Experience in Transact SQL development, especially in stored procedure and views.
- Experience in Microsoft Visual Studio development IDE for database and data comparison and test data generation.
- Experience working in Windows Server environments.
- Ability to investigate and assess issues to make certain the correct solution is implemented.
- Hands-on experience on relational database ER model design.
- Experience supporting 24X7 production environments.
- Document standard procedures, problems resolutions and environment modifications.
- Experience with key database modelling tools like Embarcadero ER/Studio, CA ERWin.
