Database Specialist with Chemical Background (m/w)

Your tasks will be:

+ Performing quality measurement
+ Definition of baselines for quality metrics
+ Application of techniques on data provided from a variety of different vendors
+ Working with business units on developing content and information offering to end customers. These services rely on existing text and data mining processes. These processes are a blend of manual and automated information extraction.
+Merging Chemical datasets via Chemical Structures, Chemical identifiers (Systematic and non-Systematic Names).
+ Writing design specifications, tests, maintaining documentation and perform code reviews.

+ University graduate (Master or PhD level) computer science, computational linguistics, cheminformatics or an associated area.
+ Experience in the Chemical industry
+ Knowledge of chemical names, chemical structures.
+ Experience with chemical name to structure toolkits such as Opsin.
+ Knowledge of compound structure standardization is a plus.
+ Experience in NLP, Chemical Name Entity recognition, and information extraction recognition is a plus.
+ Proven experience with data normalization and processing, database merging.
+ Software development experience in a curly brace language or Python/Java, as well as scripting abilities. Writing queries, handling data (ETL), and experience using open source software and libraries.
+ Experience working with a variety of stakeholders at the mid-management level.
