ROLE:                    Database Specialist

LOCATION:             Zug Switzerland

Length:                   1 month

Pay:                       Above Average

Start:                      No later 1st October

Principle responsibilities

The function focuses on evaluation and implementation of a new Database process. The ultimate purpose of the role is to create and provide staging tables for Oracle upload

Tasks:

Build Access database

Data retrieval from ERP (JDEdwards)/Planning Systems sources, with monthly refresh (NOT ESSENTIAL NICE TO HAVE)

Data validation

Cross referencing of data

Data manipulation and analysis (establishing logical relations)

Create Output file and validate, (output to text file, Oracle-ready)

Data to be stored in the Access DB

Manually modify data, add data elements non-available with automatic population

Define Back-up process and run back-up according to schedule

Requirements:

-              Degree in Business or Technical field with at more than 5 years of relevant experience
-              Experience with ERP systems
-              Ability to translate business requirements to technical requirements (User Requirements)
-              Thorough experience with Databases, especially MS Access
-              Excellent analytical skills
-              Excellent MS Excel skills
-              Oracle knowledge is a plus
-              Experience in working autonomously, in an international environment
-              Ability to work under pressure
-              Target-orientated professional
-              English fluent
-              German nice-to-have

Immediate need. Latest start date 1st October 2013. Person will be required for approx. 2-3 weeks in October for definition and implementation and then at a later stage for revision and maintenance.
