Our client, one of the world's foremost Consultancies, is looking to recruit a Database Software Engineer to join their client in Maastricht, Netherlands.

This contract will run initially until the end of 2019 (with the option to extend) and will be based full time in Maastricht.

The day to day activities include:

- Develop new software modules for the MPT (in particular, the implementation of change proposals and bug fixes in the Cockpit and eBrief tools). This includes designing, developing, testing, documenting, maintaining and providing support.
- Review request for changes, perform prototyping where necessary, and create unambiguous software specifications.
-Analyse modifications required to existing source code, documentation and test suite, and define test scope, to implement problem fixes and changes.
- Perform and document tests in line with test scope defined before.

The ideal candidate will have experience with the following:

- At least 3 years of experience as a Database Application Developer, with good knowledge of the relational model, PL/SQL and Oracle
- Experience in developing software in Java, accessing databases from Java, accessing databases from a web browser, APEX, JavaScript, Oracle Forms
- At least 3 years of experience in writing technical and test documentation

This role will pay a maximum daily rate of €400 per day (depending on experience) and my client will not pay expenses.
