DATABASE/LINUX ENGINEER (RED HAT/ORACLE/FINANCIAL)

ENDEAVOUR RECRUITMENT has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Database/Linux Engineer to work for our Financial Client in Amsterdam.

Our Financial Client has been working on the set up of an overall continuous integration environment, consisting of different components and applications, to support their ongoing project and program delivery. The Database/Linux engineer will be part of the team setting up the integration environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Database/Linux engineer is responsible to collect requirements for the components, translate requirements to deliverables, create the desired (technical) design documentation, implement, install, configure the component, develop and execute the test for the component and perform handover and support for operations.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- General Infrastructure/Hardware knowledge
- Proven knowledge and experience on Red Hat 5.x and Red Hat 5.x implementations
- Management and delivery of database solutions on Oracle 11 and Oracle RAC
- Previous experience in migration and design activities
- Experience working with other database technologies (MSSQL, Ingres), VMware and networking
- Experience with Weblogic
- Experience with Automated deployment tooling (Nolio)

HIGHLY DESIRABLE SKILLS:

- Dutch Speaking is preferred
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Ability to work independently and within timelines.
- Flexible on working hours
- Team player

LOCATION: AMSTERDAM

RATE: €49 PER HOUR
