Database Developer (SQL Server) - Finance

A global investment firm requires an experienced SQL Server developer to join its research database unit based in centralBoston. The role is a new hire within the team and has been created to help with the development and performance tuning of the existing database and data warehouse environment. The role will require the successful candidate to have extensive ETL experience to manipulate and transform data from multiple sources; therefore experience of data modelling is key. Performance tuning and trouble shooting skills are also a must so deep knowledge of SQL is required to identify issues such as dead locks etc. The platform is an enterprise environment with TB of data in storage. Due to the nature of the business, the technical environment is very complex and at times can be fast paced so is suited for someone up for these types of challenges.
