DATABASE DEVELOPER - 12 MONTHS + CONTRACT - BRUSSELS - €330-€350 A DAY
A large European institution based in Brussels are seeking a Database Developer to join their Digital team on a long-term contract basis, with extensions very likely.
The Database Developer will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of database layer, multi-tiered applications.
Your duties will also include, but won't be limited to:
- Integrating new databases into existing applications
- Database configuration and optimisation
- Deployment and configuration of new and existing databases and applications
- Meeting with technical work groups and project teams
- Developing specific tools using Java frameworks and Oracle databases
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
It is essential that the Database Developer has in depth knowledge of database systems (SQL Server, Oracle) and Java, ideally within an application development environment. You will have experience of the design and development of web applications, as well as an understating of IT governance structures.
The working language for this role is English, however fluency in French and/or German is highly beneficial.
