Database Developer

Proteus Europe is searching for a Database Developer for our client based in Brussels, Belgium

Your New role:-

- Design, implementation and maintenance of database layer of multi-tears applications
- Development and maintenance of database stored procedures
- Database configuration and optimisation
- Database integration with applications.
- Execution of database test programs
- Definition and integration of database components
- Physical database design
- Writing of technical documentation
- Assistance with deployment and configuration of the Database
- Participation in meetings with project teams

Your Skills and experience:-

Knowledge and skills

- In-depth knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier web applications, particularly within the Java framework
- In depth knowledge of Java programming techniques (J2EE, Java 7 and higher), and Java architecture and frameworks;
- Very good knowledge of application design. eg: use of design patterns, MVC, MVVM etc.
- Good knowledge of interoperability concepts (eg web services, service bus)
- Good knowledge of responsive/fluid design practices for multi-devices compatibilities. Knowledge of DHTML/XUL/CSS3 and JavaScript language is an asset
- Development experience in Life ray or similar would be an asset
- Good knowledge of Oracle database design and SQL.
- Good knowledge of continuous integration concepts. Knowledge of Maven, Jenkins and Sonar is an asset.
- Good knowledge of modelling tools.
- Knowledge of the tool 'Enterprise Architect' is an asset.
- Good knowledge of application development environments
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication
- Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid selfstarting capability and experience in working in team

Education and experience

- Minimum 11 years of relevant studies and experience after the secondary school.
- Minimum 6 years of IT professional experience
- Minimum 6 years in Java Web application development
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Relational Database Management Systems (Oracle DBMS)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in developing Web services
- Minimum 3 years in JavaScript; experience in Front End frameworks (eg KendoUI, ZK framework ZK, Angular 2)
- Minimum 2 years of experience with SQL
- Minimum 1 years' experience in XML
- Experience in developments for mobile devices
- Experience in Service Oriented Architecture
