Database Developer (DBD)

Specific expertise:
* Minimum a total of 3 years of professional experience in one or more of the following: RDBMS (Oracle), DB languages (PL/SQL), modelling tools.
* In-depth knowledge of XML, XSD, XSLT, XPath and Xliff is required..
* In-depth knowledge of UML is required; knowledge of RUP is an advantage.
* Knowledge of Jira is an advantage.

Location: Brussels

My client seeks a Database Base Developer (DBD) to join the development team of the Erasmus + Mobility Tool.

Nature of the tasks
- Design, implementation and maintenance of multi-tiers applications
- Data analysis, Datamodelling.
- Development and maintenance of database stored procedures
- Database configuration and optimisation
- Database integration with applications
- Execution of database test programs
- Definition and integration of database components
- Physical database design
- Writing of technical documentation
- Assistance with deployment and configuration of the Database
- Participation in meetings with project teams

Knowledge and skills
- In-depth knowledge of relational database systems and in depth knowledge of SQL
- Good knowledge of modelling database tools
- Good knowledge of stored procedure languages (eg PL/SQL)
- Good knowledge of application development environments
- Knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier web applications
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings
- Very good knowledge of English and French
- Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team.

Education and experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience after relevant studies or 10 years of experience after secondary school
- Minimum 4 years of IT professional experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Relational Database Management Systems
- Minimum 2 years of experience with SQL
- Experience with programming languages (Java and Java/Oracle integration)
- Experience with DB modelling tools
- Experience in web application development (ColdFusion, JavaScript, frameworks).
